What is CBG?
CBG is the parent compound of both THC and CBD. Without it, we wouldn’t have either. It was actually the first cannabinoid researchers discovered, found in 1975 as the first cannabinoid that forms in cannabis sativa plants.
There’s growing research on the subject, as well as the subject of all other cannabinoids, non-psychoactive and otherwise. As it stands, CBG could potentially be effective as both an anti-fungal and antibacterial substance.
Working outside our endocannabinoid system, we believe CBG might stimulate anandamide and the production of our own endocannabinoids within the body. By interacting with the receptors that help control this, the CBG works in synergy to open the gates for healing. This synergy is called the entourage effect, and you can’t get it from CBD alone.
